Chess 1
The Chess Level 1 class provides weekend lessons (45 mins/session) for beginners to advanced students, teaching fundamentals through structured instruction and guided play with expert coach Mr. Yao (~2100 rating).

About the Class
The chess course is held every weekend at the Chinese school and welcomes students of all skill levels. Each 45-minute session includes approximately 35 minutes of structured instruction and 10 minutes of guided play. Topics cover rules, tactics, openings, endgames, and strategic thinking. Students will apply their skills in practice games and receive personalized feedback to support their growth. The instructor, Mr. Albert Yao, has over 10 years of competitive experience, 4 years of teaching experience, and currently holds a US Chess rating close to 2100.
